I may try upgrading mine to version 4 and see if window eyes works, I can also
restore from my external hard drive if it doesn't, the reason I chose not to
upgrade the virtual machine was mainly because everything was working and I
figured if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Yes, Mike. I did find out that xp was a bootcamp issue.
Still, very odd that folks are having problems with fusion four. It works great
for me. My upgrade went without a hitch.

Xp is not supported using boot camp, fusion is not affected by that though.

Hi, Guys. I thought that I had heard somewhere that xp isn't supported any
longer under lion.
Could this be the problem; the windows seven works better than xp under lion?

I encountered the same problem with WE 7.2. Not sure exactly what is going on,
but sense I only need the windows VM for one specific purpose, I have a backup
and will just copy it back over and skip installing the tools. Now that I think
of it, I don't really need it in any event, but fun to muc
Mark,
Yes and no. No I have not had any luck getting my original virtual machine to
work with Fusion 4. The only way I was able to get it to stay booted was to
have my daughter cancel the tools install as soon as the vm booted. This way I
was able to get my Favorites off the vm. I never stored

Unless something has changed at Freedom Scientific, I'd be surprised if they

they were using JFW on a virtual machine on a mac, they said that wasn't
supported.

O
Mike,
So far neither you or Scott have installed the vmware tools on your
upgraded vm's and you are working fine. I have convinced Scott to make
a copy of his vm and attempt to install the tools. I have a feeling
that it will crash but would like a verification. I have posted a
ticket with VMWare

Mike,
Did your vm automatically try to install vmware tools even after saying no to
the upgrade vm option? No matter what I have done it always seems to want to
install. I have to cancel and can then use the vm, but it's annoying.

I have window yes, I think it's 7.2 installed, I will try it. I don't see any
difference in a version 4 virtual machine, I think it supports hd audio, and
better graphics, you might try copying your version 3 virtual machine back, and
telling fusion not to upgrade it. By the way, pressing enter
Robert,
I suspect that you are running into the same situation that I did with
the JFW video intercept. After installing and rebooting the vm hangs
and is unresponsive. I know that Scott Howell uses WindowEyes and
installed Fusion 4 last night. Don't know if he is having the same
issue though. Sco
Hi,
I had the same thing happen when it updated the vm. All I can say is that
after awhile, I shut it down from the vm menu and then restarted it. Every
thing seems to work after that.
Hope that helps.
