If you arrow right passed the sidebar you should come to a file field interact
with it and you should fined all the apps there!
Just pick text edit and stop interacting and arrow right to the OK button!

I understood you. You ran into problems after you select the key you wanted to
use, and after you chose open application under custom, correct? Then the
filebroser to chose the application you want opened appeared. The instructions

wasn't that clear.
I opend voice over utility with vo-f8 and selected comanders.
In commanders I selected the keyboard tab. I'm attempting to add a
keystroke that would open an application with the right option key
plus another key.
Ummm. What might work better is if you have Skype or some other IM client, I
could talk you through it. It's a fairly standard file chooser dialog, and it
sounds like you're familiar with that already, so I'm wondering if something
else is going on here, or if perhaps this pane has changed in L

When the file browser opens, just press command shift A like when you want to
go to the applications folder on your finder. Then arrow down or, press the
first lett of the app you want to jump to it in the list.
BTW, when the file browser opens, it should already be in the app list. all
I'll tell you what. I am not finding what you mention. If you can,
tgll me, how do I navigate this dialog. Perhaps that's the wrong
question. What features would I find available to me in this dialog?
