Yes, but you might want to wait a few seconds before you take it out. Also, I
always check to make sure that it's off by seeing if it is still on the
desktop. If you don't do that, sometimes you get an error message. I don't

That should be it but if there are applications which have files from
that drive open it won't eject. Usually closing those docs is all it
takes but sometimes you have to quit the app itself.

What is the simplest way for a new user to eject a flash drive?
My friend is a good typist, but English is her second language. She also has
mild dexterity issues, so doesn't use trackpad commander.
She simply wants to insert her flash drive
