In the Accounts tab of Mail Preferences select your iCloud account. Under the
Account Info tab of this preference pane there is an Aliases pop-up-menu.
There's an option in there to create a new alias which will take you to the
iCloud website. Your new alias can only be at the iCloud.com domain.

recently I created an iCloud mail account. At the time I seam to remember that
you can create an alias . Firstly I can’t find how I originally created the
iCloud mail account. Please could somebody give me some pointers how to create
an alias?
Times like this I realise how old I really am.
