Why?
Its a mac mini. There is no other input for it to default to but the connected
USB mic.

Hi,
its the same thing regardless. I don't think you would have to do anything in
system preferences though because the mini doesn't have a built in mic to begin
with. So, nothing to switch. It will just use your bluetooth mic as the
default since it will be the only mic.

do I need do anything on that for it work or will it just work.

Yes, all macs except the mac mini has a built in mic. Good? I guess this is a
pretty relative term. It depends on what your planning on doing with your mic,
and what your standards are. If your just needing a mic for chatting on skype,
its fine.
