In all other versions of MacOS that supported column view, the left and right
arrow keys with no modifier would switch you to the next or previous column,
not really opening the folder, but moving focus into the column. I heard that

If you are in column view, you can use VO plus left and right arrows to do the
same thing as just using the arrow keys used to do. This is a possible bug that
has been reported to apple.
