I also achieved the desired result (not to have the disclosure triangle spoken
at all in Mail) in 10.9.1. However, I am also experiencing the
extremely annoying phenomenon where it is spoken in Mail no matter where I set
it in Verbosity in 10.9.2. This is extremely disappointing as other thing
It's set to low in custom verbosity settings so is not spoken in any app other
than Mail. It wasn't spoken in Mail either, prior to 10.9.2.
