I am surprised you are having issues with the Brilliant display. I often use my
BrailleNote Apex within VMWare Fusion (8) with both Windows 7 and Windows 10. I
would be interested in talking to you off line about a couple issues though.

Hello, I’ve been doing some thinking, you might wish to do a clean
install of OS X Mojave, especially if you have a fully backed up Lenox
partition that you can reinstall after you do the clean mahogany
install? That might actually solve your problem. Before doing that
though I would strongly
Hi Janina,
My experience regarding downgrading to a previous system tells me that it would
not necessarily be successful. Firmware upgrades tend to be permanent upgrades
and are very difficult to retrofit. Apple doesn't even make firmware upgrades
publicly accessible as they are accessed dire
Thanks Tim, and also thanks to Jonathan for the 2T pointer.
I've learned some useful, though minor facts now. I understand what used
to be /boot is now at /System/Library/CoreServices/. That's where I'm
finding an updated boot.efi and I'm confident it's the problem boot.efi

Here is the article I was thinking of. I don’t believe this has to do with your
system unless it’s very new one. But just in case:

Hi,
This is a slightly different area than I usually dive into, so, I'm not
confident in all aspects of these commands. With that in mind, I believe that
you are correct in that you'll need to edit the boot.efi file in the given path
to allow the use of System Prefs to properly bless thee EFI
Thanks, Tim. I saw this post earlier today on a Google search. Here's
the statement that confused me:
UPDATE: probably a bug, placing efi shell to
/usr/standalone/i386/boot.efi location and using system prefs to
reboot into target volume (which will rebless the

Hi,
The only thing I've found to help is here:

There's chatter about this in the Apple Developer forums, but no real solution
that I found, just a reference to the link above.

Hi, Maurice:
Yes, I do indeed remember. Bill is still very much missed.
My current problem appears to be the result of upgrading osx from High
Sierra to Mojave. I'm able to execute an EFI launch, but OSX 10.14 seems
unable to follow through. The USB 3.1 stick containing the Linux
installation has
Hello, I don’t know if you remember me from the Lenox days, and our
late neutral friend Bill. I am wondering if I am reading this correctly
you’re saying that not only is the Efi partition broken, but you’re
also having flash drive issues with boot camp? Have you ever thought

I've heard about, but never used before. Do you perhaps have a pointer
to help guide my way?
Thanks very much!

I did read about features making it more difficult to boot non MacOs and
non-Windows operating systems in some Macintosh computers. I thought it was
only for the touch bar Macbook Pro models but I might be mistaken. If this is
what is getting in your way, you should be able to boot into the rec
Hi, All:
The other day I upgraded my Airbook from High Sierra to Mojave. The
upgrade concluded without issues, and almost everything seems to be
working.
* Everything on the Mac side seems OK
* My Windows 10 (upgraded to 1803) seems OK via Bootcamp
* My USB booting over EFI is n
