This problem is similar. When Voiceover goes silent, I don't keep the voiceover
clicks. However, the other sounds on the mac are still present. Everything from
the volume blerps to the chiming noise when my iPHone syncs. I have tried

does not try cmd vo f8 then esc when the slower voice comes.
