Hey, is there any way to know if QuickNav is on or off if you can't hear
VoiceOver, or do you just use trial and error
Cheers,

Hey Ricardo,
That's fantastic advice. I just tried it with VO on, and your directions got me
to where I needed to be with a little practice should be able to remember it.
Thanks, going to try it tomorrow with VO turned off, to see if I can do it.
Thanks again.

Hi,
With a little practice, and memorization, you can fix this with out restarting
your Mac. First, you can open the sounds preferences by pressing FN option F11
or F12. Note: FN depends on how you have function keys set up in your keyboard
preferences. You might have to only press Option pl
Hey Nick,
We must think alike as as soon as I got the bluetooth speakers I went to
keyboard to commander to see if I could set a toggle for my speaker output but
couldn't find one. Yeah, the bluetooth speakers crapped out again today. I was
on a long phone call and heard VO say there was a blue
Hi Bryan,
Yes, AirPlay is much more reliable than bluetooth and works perfectly, assuming
you can get VoiceOver to play via AirPlay in the first place.
NO, unfortunately there's no way to get VoiceOver to default to the built in
output if bluetooth fails. If there were, there wouldn't be a proble
Hey Nicholas, Yes, David Woodbridge did do a podcast on that, but my question
would be are the Air Play speakers more reliable than Bluetooth with VO? Since
I got the Bluetooth speakers I have kind of enjoyed VO coming through them. My
concern is when Bluetooth loses connectivity. I was wonderin

Hey Nicholas, Thanks for letting me know. It all seems to be working for the
last day. Any idea if Air Play speakers work better with the desktop than
bluetooth? I didn't go Air Play because all the reviews claimed they weren't
any better than bluetooth, and you are just paying more for speakers
Hi Bryan,
This is a known issue with VoiceOver and bluetooth sound output devices. The
issue is so bad that I don't bother ever using bluetooth headsets, at least not
for VoiceOver. It's a real shame, as the best wireless headsets are now all
bluetooth. Not sure why this is either, as bluetooth
Hey Teresa,
Yeah, that's what I thought the answer might be. I was really liking the VO
going through the bluetooth speakers as VO was sounding a lot crisper, but with
the bluetooth speakers having some issues I might have to stick to the old
built in speakers or go through the 3.5 jack so as t
Try VO utility, sound. There’s a set of options in there for VO output: system
default and whatever devices you have. I have a USB headset and built-in audio,
and when my Bluetooth device was connected, it showed that as well. Check your
settings as they are now. For example, you might not want
Hey all,
I just recently connected a pair of bluetooth speakers to my mac, and twice I
have completely lost VO, not sure if it has been a bluetooth pairing issue or
me screwing up a setting. Both times I had to have someone who can see come in
and fiddle around with my speaker output and VO out
