options setting in the mail settings, the particular message disappeared from
the Macvisionaries inbox and went to trash. Although so did the entire thread

It may also be complicated by the whole “List” configuration aspects of these
sorts of groups. If you look at the eMail that is received, it is not actually
from the sender. It is from MacVisionaries. So, even though you’ve blocked
the sender, the actual eMail is sent from MacVisionaries
Thanks Dave, actually I found a setting in the males settings concerning
blocked sender options. You have to tell it to move the blocked message to
trash, otherwise it leaves it in the inbox with a tag on it. I think though
that if a block sender is in a thread, then the whole entire thread gets
