need to go into Disk Utility, select the actual disk from the table and choose,
Erase, from the toolbar. Change the format popup to MacOS
I know with the Passport I didn’t have to format it . I am not so adept in
formatting . I tried going into disk utility but was not sure where to go from
there . I may go to staples this morning and try another drive .

Hi all , I have been backing up my late 2011 mac with a My Passport for
mac external hardrive . With the last update my mac stopped recognizing the
hargrive . i am running El Capitan on my mac . Any suggestions ? I
