Hi folks,
With my 2020 Mac out for repair, I’m using buy 2012 Mac running Catalina.
Things were fine for a few days. Now the ATV is prompting me to authorize the
Mac. It is already authorized. Home sharing is on. The ATV sees the TV series I
put on the old Mac. Thoughts? Thanks.

I’m expecting a delivery of Apple tv 4K wifi. Will I be able to set it up
without sighted help straight from the box? I’m feeling rather nervous.
Any tips would be appreciated.

I am relieved that deleting the app did not lose my settings. But I
had forgotten the pain of going to a web site and entering an activation

I did have the option of scanning a QR code. For next time, how does
that work? Thanks. You are the best go to resource.

Hi,
Not really. Deleting it, or waiting to see if the app has an update that fixes
the problem is your best choices. I’ve seen this happen where you need to
delete, then re-install an app as it was somehow corrupted during the update
process.

Ok here is what I did this morning. After changing status of a TV
show episode in the Mac TV app, I closed the app then opened it again.
The status change I made did not stick.
Then I looked at the database files in the iTunes Media folder. None
of the date stamps have changed since Octo
Catalina. Initially I had some trouble with getting the library
going which is on an external drive because I did a clean install.

I'm not sure why it's doing this, nor can I confirm very easily right now.
