Just for the group’s information, though, I think I fixed it by turning off
Show on Lock Screen, under Settings, Notifications, Mail.

1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
2. Go to Notifications > Mail
3. Select Custom.
4. Select and double tap the item that says Notifications Off.
That’s it. Now you can relax.
