I believe simulateds mouse commands were broken in Yosemite. I can of course

This is not necessarily a new feature. It was available in earlier versions of
OS before it was broken in Maverick, if I can remember correctly. So this is
not new, but it looks like it has been repaired thanks to many of us
complaining, if I remember well.
