Check out ABBYY TextGrabber and Translator. I've reviewed several apps
including Prizmo and TextDetective and ABBYY is my favorite.

matter what I try, I'm just not aiming the camera lense quite right. Maybe

It sure doesn't work well on an iPad Mini. I gave it a try and even while
holding it really still, it kept vasalating between "No page detected" or
"Ready to scan" but most of the time if I got anything at all, it was a total

It usually says "no page visible" within a split second of saying "page
detected".
Some of the scanning results have been far better than before whereas others

The tones will play until it has a good shot then it will take the
picture. The higher the tone the better the chance it can take a shot.

When you get the iPhone above what you're scanning, have you been double
tapping the screen, being very careful to hold it as level as possible when it
says it's detected the page? If it doesn't make that picture taking sound, you
haven't done the picture.

I tried the new Prizmo update. I like it a lot. I was never successful at
getting Prizmo give me good text until they came out with this update. I know
other people of been able to get it to work without that, but not me.
