Can you boot into the Ventura volumes from recovery mode? If you can, can you
then set your startup disk to your Sonoma volume from within Ventura?

I did find it. I had a notification way down in the list that the
machine wanted to restart itself, but for whatever reason, it never did
that automatically. Ive been away from this system for over a month, so
anything could have happened during that time. All fixed now.
