It is always possible that a carrier could block the feature, but that is how
you do it if things are set up normally.

I didn't know that. You use to have to have two lines for two way calling as I
don't know if mobile networks have any kind of restrictions. I live in the UK

Are you referring to Sim cards? If so then no. This feature has been around
since 2010, though probably sooner. I was able to do three-way on a 2001 Nokia
phone.
