You should setup the Google account through System Preferences > Internet Accounts, and you will not need to enter any of that information manually. Internet Account setup will take care of all those details for you. All you will need to provide, is your Gmail address and password. - Brad -

Several misc. ideas below. Perhaps one will solve issue. It sounds like your command key is not responding correctly. Try turning on keyboard help with VO-k and press keys to make sure you know what is where. Also, make sure vo lock is not on by pressing the semi-colan. (next to the "l" key) .

I’m not sure. I’ve never wiped my VoiceOver settings before. You could toggle VoiceOver off and then back on, but I’m not sure that would change anything. My guess is that when you reset your VoiceOver settings, it is reset immediately to original defaults. How you redo your VoiceOver settings f
