Again, to be sure we don’t over simplify the issue. Shirley is asking about an update, but wondering about an upgrade to Catalina. Updates and Upgrades are treated differently. You can set updates to happen automatically, but I seriously doubt that an upgrade to a new Mac OS can be set to happen
