There is no keyboard shortcut for mute but you may be able to assign
one in VO Utility. If you have a trackpad its a 3 finger double tap toggle.

If you perform another action while it's paused that results in additional
speech output, it will never return to speaking whatever was in the queue when
you paused it. At least, that's my experience.

Hi folks.
I no you can hit the control key to pause speech, but can you stop it without
it pausing?
I guess its and old windows habit, but when ever I’m using reaper, and vo
starts speaking, I automadicly hit the control key.
Then, I hit the key again, witch starts vo speaking wear it left off.
I just had a strange experience on a website on my Mac. I run Mojave. there
were a bunch of bullets in the article I was reading and all of a sudden vo
stopped speaking and began buzzing. I guess it was some kind of overload
because it didn't stop till I turned vo off. I turned it back on, tried

It was already set to bridged auto detect. Changed it to nat and to
bridged ethernet, no go. Went into the Fusion network settings and in
the table ethernet is partially available. Does that offer a clue?
Need to borrow a pair of eyes to get it on wifi.

Catherine,
I fooled around in the app. When I first open it, VO says 'Clean My
Mac window'. That is really the only time I hear 'window'. I changed
verbosity settings which had no effect. I avoid Quick Nav most times. Up
and down arrows and tab seem to be all I need. I cannot think what else
At the moment, there is no feature which is worth an upgrade on the iPhone. I
purchased an iPhone X last year, and did not feel that there was any reason to
upgrade as Apple did not bring anything new out. Maybe, if people stopped
buying the iPhone for a short while, then Apple would not be so g
I just upgraded last October. it was last year's phone and I still had to pay

there's nothing like Apple for accessibility. I hope they change their business

Did you try swapping with 3 fingers to lock or unlock the screen layout?

Hi,
Ah thanks for the info. Well I've made some progress in that, inside
the first table, if I have Quick Nav off and just arrow up and down it
successfully moves through the table but VO still just keeps saying
"unknown". But after I move in that table, then get out of it I'm

It's called capitalism. We have choices. Supply and demand works. GM
is dumping models that are no longer in demand. If Apple produces all
their products in the states, supply and demand would still work and
we'd see different numbers.

Even if it was fact most of you wouldn't say so. I mean really this is
an apple list. Apple is over priced, and they have only made this
point by raising prices like mad with in the last few years. The only
reason why people in the states are so shocked by the prices is
because they are no longer g
Just a quick comment.
This is an opinion piece, not well standard journalism. I was concerned
by the lack of balance, i. e. talking with someone from Apple about the
assumptions here, lack of specifics about the number sources, so I followed
the link to the actual article.

Hey Folks:
I am unable to switch my Braille keyboard input to "table top mode"; it
remains in "screen away" mode.
Any thoughts?
Thanks all over the place gang.

This bypass only affects the next keystroke then VO commands work as
usual. So press VO-tab then a VO command such as VO-h and it should not
bring up the help menu.

I bought my first iPhone (5) in 2012; then in 2014 I upgraded to an iPhone 6.
That iPhone 6 continues to meet my needs insofar as a mobile pocket computer
goes - including serving as a mobile telephone.

Hello,
My wife and I both have Macs and iPhones each running the latest software. We
each have our own Apple ID. We are set up to share calendar events such that a
new event entered on any device appears shortly thereafter to each of us on all
our devices. This is most useful.

I just upgraded to the iPhone XS, but I’ll probably stick with this for a few
years. I don’t mind the price, but there’s just so little real difference for
blind people in new releases of the iPhone.

Well, I hope he's wrong about Apple's end being near, but what he describes is
