Hi Alex,
No to the APFS being able to be read from a windows machine.
Same with mac os x extended.
Best option would be FAT32 or xFAT which both can be written and read from
widnows and mac os.
The other but there is a price is the paragon software which will allow the

Terry, I suggest that you read through the help manuals that come with every

Thanks so much

Unless your drive is partitioned I would npt put both Time Machine and
SuperDuoer on it. I used to have separate smaller drives but it got too
messy so got the 4tb.

Ramy,
I use a 4tb drive for my backups. I partitioned it into 4 so I can
keep the various backups separate. You do not want to share a
drive/partition with data and backups. I also eject the drive when all
the backups are done.

I can't help with your second question, but I can try to help with the first,
about your drives.
Any drive is set up using what's called a file system. There are several
popular ones out there, some cross-platform and some specific to macOS or
Windows. FAT32 or FAT are the usual general-purpos

Hello Ramy,
I strongly recommend against using a 64 GB USB flash drive to make a Superduper
backup. The drive is simply too slow in order to be used to boot your Mac. It
can be done, however, the boot up process would take over 20 minutes or so.
Also, even after the OS was up and running, it

I haven't used a HandyTech display, but my understanding is that they can
transfer files to a host computer by emulating a keyboard and writing the file
into whatever text editor or word processor you're using.
This should work well on the Mac. I don't know how transfers in the other

Try cmd-shift-a to force it. El Cap isn't High Sierra, but Apple often brings
Safari features to older macOS versions. I'm wondering if they took the new
restriction on auto-fill and put it in Safari so all supported macOS releases
would get it.

Okay,
I’m using Elcapitan. For some weird reason, when ever I go to a web site that
requires a user name and password, it is not filled in as it normally should be
and used to be. I double checked and auto fill is active on the passwords tab.
Does this no longer work or is there some adjustm
