This is why it’s always best to wait until at least the first, and sometimes
the second major update before installing a new version of the operating
system, let the major bugs get worked out first.

Call Amazon and explain the situation. They'll refund you. At least, they
did when I had the issue.

Hi All,
I downloaded a textbook from amazon. I just opened the kindle app to start
reading. When I double tapped on the return to book, it then said, Voice over
does not support this content. has anyone received this message before? I am

Both. The only saving grace about it being a bunch of safari bugs is, they’ll
most likely fix them in an update to the browser itself, so we won’t have to
wait for a new build of OS X. Unless, those bugs don’t occur with the version
of Safari 9.0 for Yosemite users?

This is why I have Rolled back to Yosemite.
These are some of the worst bugs I've seen since I started using the Mac back
in 2010.
Won't be updating until a update comes out to address these problems.

Is that with the official build, or is that with the private beta? I
confess I really haven't tried doing anything with Safari over there since I
finally got successfully updated. How are people getting around this being
that surfing the web is so heavily done now adays with computers? Are fo
Hi,
Safari on 10.11 is pretty pathetic right now. It’s the worst experience I’ve
ever had while using OS X.

Hello.
Just been using Safari as I went to the online RNIB library catalogue. Safari
is terrible on that website and I wonder if Safari is broken? Once I sign in
and browse for books either in braille or for Talking books, Safari won’t read
the search results as it keeps saying dialogue. Als

Apple has just dropped updates for iWork apps for iOS and OS X. Among the

Hi!
This works fine. Just switch to the navigation option in the rotor once you're
interacting with the PDF text area, and you can then use down arrow to review
it. You can review by lines, too, although it seems to do the same thing here.
Keep in mind that you have to interact with both the PD
I just put all my data on my iCloud Drive. I do not even back any data up. So
far, so good! Have not lost my data. However, I do have a small SSD drive, and
I put some data on that. Although I don't use it very often!

I agree, and as cheap now adays as external USB My passport drives, or Seagate
Goflex drives are, it's worth it. I have about 3 of them right now and swear
by them! And, what's even cooler about them is, they're all bus powered! So,
no electrical recepticle needed.

Not necessarily. You'd think so, yes, but I've seen things like this happen
before without a clean install. Heck! Just look at the disaster I had when I
tried a few weeks ago to update Yosemite to El Capitan. God what a nightmare
that was!
I don't normally do clean installs when upgrading,
Hi,
I wonder whether you could check if quick nav works in documents in Preview?
It used to work well in the previous releases of OS. This is awkward because
if I want to read line by line in Preview, I now need two hands to do so
whereas in the past I would put quick nav on and be able to us

If it’s the dock and you are on the icon, you need to VO-shift-m to open the
shortcut menu. Check the, List, and, Folder, items in that menu. That should
enable him to navigate the folder on the Dock, if that is what you are looking
to do.

No OCR, no can do. You need OCR to do this. Abby Fine Reader is a popular
choice among us Mac users. No, not free but worth it. Download the image file
then run OCR on it and that should do the trick.

Hi all,
I am on a website looking up ingrediants for their products. On the plus side,
it is a simple link to click on & read ingrediants. On the minus side, they
pop up as an image.
Is there an easy way to get the text from that image? I don’t have any kind of
OCR software on Mac, but I am
