Hi there.
as far as I know the talk shoe software uses java so i don't think
it's accessible. I know on the windows side there is a client that
from memory is accessible but from what I have heard on the mac it's
using java.

Sadly, I think this is inaccessible. I did a show once, but I had to
have a sighted friend manage the software, etc he had to host it. It
may be better now though.

Hi there Fonzie, it's nice to hear from you. Thanks for your message. I'm
still debating about getting one. I would like one, but I can get one for

Hi thanks for that Jessy, I don't want a braille display at the moment. So,
voice over will work just as well on it's own then.
One of the staff read it in the mac shop so that's why I thought of asking.
I'm unsure what to do now, whether to get a brand new one or go for the
second hand one. Wi

HI all.
I remember sometime ago someone on one of the mac lists told us all how you
could create an i chat account without needing sighted assistance.
Is this indeed possible?
Also can anyone who uses i chat tell us how many people you can have using
audio on an i chat call?
Thanks for your help.
Yeah. That's true. I don't like Itunes for podcasting though, and I
haven't found a any better programs like Playpod, so therefore I just
use Playpod for both podcasts and rss news feeds.

Sorry, I'm not sure I know what you mean.
Yeah, Playpod is a old program and it's not going to be updated
anymore, but if you have found a better podcast and rss reader, I'm
very interested to hear about it.

Hi Louie.
I don't have a Victor reader stream, but I assume you just copy the
podcasts to the stream when you have plugged it to your mac.

Hi all, Found this service because one of the podcasts that's
available form macobserver.com the mac Geek gab, is going to use it to
hold their 200th show on. Anybody tried this, and if so is it
accessible? In looking at the information on what it's about, it
sounds pretty cool.

Hi again Sere.
One particular reason I liked Vienna is that it is supported, and
updated.
PlayPod itself isn't.
Not a deal breaker of course, but just thought I would bring it out
there.
Take care.

Hey there.
You are correct. I don't really use podcast myself, so I just really
use the RSS reader itself. Again, they are both good programs though,
so either or is worth checking out. Just depends on what you are
looking for.

Hi Fonzie.
It doesn't seems as Vieanna is able to handle podcasts. If you wanna
try a rss reader and a podcast application in one program, I highly
recommend Playpod. This program is totally awesome. You can configure
it to stream podcasts so you don't have to download them. You can turn
Hi Will, how are you doing?
I hope everything is well.
On the subject of RSS Readers, I find that having an application to
manage and gather feeds is a lot better than mail, and or Safari for
that matter.
Vienna acts like a mail client, in that you can tab through areas such
