It should work fine, to the extent that if you launch shell mode like this:
port -N
then the shell will not ask interactive ques
and octave-devel could be 4.5.0 now, which I have installed, but I (grr) note
the previous patch for the crash-on-exit fix no longer seems to apply, and it
_still_ did the darned crash on exit thing…
