In Australia you should be using your local Australian mirror (aarnet) anyway

Hello,
How again would one be able to search the ports to find which one might install
the Qt "user interface compiler" named "uic"? The wiki doesn't seem to have any
help on this, but I thought it had been discussed previously on this

Hello all,
has the access to Trac changed? I don't recall Github being involved
before. Will my old login creds work ?(it seems not, but I may have
forgottent which password).
If anyone involved with the ntp port is listening, ntp-4.2.8p9.tar.gz
has disappeared from the macports site and the mirr

I'm pretty sure it's intentional that, like many other unix commands, no output
is meant to signify
I would expect some output without verbose flag like
$ port livecheck [port]
[port] seems to be up to date
Not worth a feature request, I guess.

Ah, I see. Yes, when non-verbose output is empty, it's

$ port -v livecheck emacs
emacs seems to be up to date
Not all ports give the same output with livecheck without -v.

There doesn't seem to be any difference in livecheck output when using the
verbose flag:
$ port livecheck gcc7
gcc7 seems to have been updated (port version:
Do you know of any means that I'm not aware of to make livecheck output its

Not that I know of.
Is there any way to enable verbose output _after_ entering shell mode with
`port`? I'd rather not use `port -v`, then I get it unnecessarily for all
commands.

b.t.w. gcc 4.8 is quite old now. If you have any ports installed using
this gcc version, as a variant, you should check to see if the defaults
for that port have been updated to a newer release (gcc 6) and where
necessary switch to using that.

Building statically is also a security nightmare.
If I have a dynamic libFoo.so, that a lot of other libraries and
applications dynamically link against, that is suddenly found to have a
major security bug, then once libFoo.so is updated I know everything
else using it is also fixed. If inste
