For some reason I'm not able to update the mac ports. The error is:
/usr/bin/g++-4.2 -c -pipe -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.6.sdk -arch i386
-arch x86_64 -O2 -Wall -W -I../../../mkspecs/macx-g++ -I. -o libmng.o
libmng.cpp
/usr/bin/g++-4.2 -headerpad_max_install_names -o libmng libmng.o

Thanks. I downloaded it and it solved that problem. However, now the update
hangs when installing gnome-doc-utils. From main.log, it seems to be these
lines:
:info:configure dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libgomp.1.dylib

Great, so something (we may never know what) was indeed wrong with your gmp,
and it's now been fixed by rebuilding

Curious. So either your gmp is misbehaving,
Hi Ryan
Just tried what you suggested. Here are the contents of the new main.log:

:debug:main gmp 5.0.1_0 is the latest installed

I managed to move past m4 but the update stopped at cln with:
Error: Target org.macports.configure returned: configure failure: shell
command failed
Log for cln is at:
/opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_math_cln/main.log
Error: Unable to
rts_devel_m4/main.log
Error: Unable to upgrade port: 1
How do I sort this out?
Post the contents of /opt/local/var/macports/logs/
_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync
.macports.org_release_ports_devel_m4/main.log
or the output of "port -v upgrade m4".

Already requested this in #13776 but the full debug output of the
build would be very helpful here.
