As I stated before, I can manually go in and authenticate and delete the
directory and it will work going forward, in that directory. This happens
right after the upgrade to 2.x.

It stops the port -u upgrade process as well. Had to delete the folder, and
run port -u upgrade outdated multiple times to get everything updated.
After upgrading MacPorts, I am now getting an error about uninstalling because
a "directory is not empty".
This appears to be a permissions issue. I haven't seen any real fix on the
list here, and I have been simply manually deleting the directory after it
installs.

Please forgive my newbiness about this, I am still learning the ins

To start BIND, I used launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/
org.macports.bind9.plist

this. I realize that this may be more of a question for the BIND
group, but here goes:
I recently decided to make the switch off of QuickDNS to BIND directly
on Leopard. I installed BIND using MacPorts with no issues. Af
Fresh Leopard install. Fresh Xcode 3.0 install. Downloaded MacPorts
version 1.6.0 Leopard image. Installed MacPorts. Can't get a man
port page.
Ran the postflight "fix". Still doesn't work. Suggestions?
