I installed macfuse and sshfs and mounted an sshfs volume. The man
page says to use fusermount to unmount, but I don't have it (wasn't
installed in sshfs or macfuse for instance). Any tips on unmounting?
Is the procedure to just kill the ssh/sshfs processes, seems a bit
clunky :)
Thanks!

You can put a per-user macports.conf in there that will selectively
override the settings in the global one. It's also used for work dirs

Looks like mine is a variation of an install bug, or maybe more info.

The command "port dependents foo" is not working for me. For any port
that has dependents, it returns that "foo depends on foo". For example:
$ port version
Version: 1.9.1
$ port deps python26
Library Dependencies: gettext, zlib, openssl, tk, sqlite3, db46,
ncurses, gdbm, bzip2, readline
$ p
Ok, I am going with your suggestion to reinstall everything. How do I
make sure to blow away any traces of what I have? Just "sudo rm -r
/sw"?

Sorry for the dumb question, I'm new to this.
So i downloaded MacPorts just fine. I searched around, and decided I would
install the game barrage. The install went fine, but now I don't know how to
run the game! I found the Unix Executable File in the directory, but opening
the file just opens ter

I would like to re-install everything in 64-bit. Don't remember the
details of what I went through because it's over a week ago but I beat
on it several times before I became too frustrated and gave up. I
also messed up my 32-bit install, doing that. The final thing I tried
involved a compile fr

Hi,
Even though I did a lot of researching I am unable to install a pure
64 bit MacPorts. I run my work machine and my home machine in 64 bit
mode (Snow Leopard always up-to-date) and would greatly appreciate any
help!
Thanks!

Hi folks,
The other day I attempted to clone a working MAMP server from a G4
PPC to an Intel machine and discovered that I basically need to
reinstall everything from scratch to get the intel versions. Yes,
I've now read the page on migrating. I'll probably just do a fresh
install of 10.6.4
