Ehi Ryan,
Thank you. I looked in all the computer and there is not any libhdf5.101.dylib.
I also tried with the trace mode, but I got an error like “bin/ps operation not
permitted” before it reached the actual point where the previous error was
given. Can I somehow overcome the sandboxing?

Mmmmh,
I tested again the build (with also rev-upgrade). No luck, same error. Does
anyone here can try to install: vtk +hdf5 +python27 +mpich to see if it’s just
a misconfiguration for me or it’s a general problem?

Sorry, I replied fastly and did not see I was replying just to yourself :)
In any case I removed the local source, and re-did the selfupdate just to check
(but I had the branch of the local git repo rebased on upstream master). No
outdated ports. I’m quite sure it is not a problem of my local

I reswitched back to the new versions of hdf5. I manually upgraded netcdf and
netcdf-cxx and recompiled vtk, but I get the same error at the same point.
I do not understand if it’s a problem with vtk or with macports… o.O
I also tried with the new netcdf-cxx4 port, but I get the same error

Hello Ryan,
Thanks for replying. I think I did my self update (when having a file:// local
ports repository on the sources.conf, is there something to take care in
addition to standard `sudo port self update`? Because I had the impression that
sometimes I was not getting the updates properly…)
