mathematics equations. I am using

turning off virus scan but I still had the same problem with LyX displaying
what I type very slowly. When I looked at the Task Manager after typing a
sentence (which would take several seconds to finally appear) it sho
big
chunks of math then I have the speed problem with csrss.exe and the letters
taking several moments to appear in the document. So unfortunately that did
not seem to do the trick for me.

Hi. I have a small problem with images. I have an .eps image in a figure float section of my LyX document (and it renders in LyX just fine). When I try to View -> PDF (pdflatex) the image shows up as an empty box. Any ideas on why the image is not being displayed in my pdf output?
Any help would be

Thanks,KenP.S. I am using LyX 1.4.3-4 (and used the

The strange thing is the eps charts are being rendered in LyX correctly,
just not in any of the pdf outputs.
Is this a MiKTex/pdflatex issue? I'll try to pdf my charts separately in the
meantime.
Thanks,
Ken

convert figure_equity_vol_smile.eps junk.pdf
but had the same failed result. (Yes, the .eps file is in the same folder I
am executing the convert command).
I tried both
convert logo: logo.gif
convert logo: logo.pdf
which both worked successfull
