s for this version. Thank you very much for your suggestion, Joost. I actually had two instances of Aspell on my system. I uninstalled both of them and ran the Lyx installer again. This time too it downloaded the dictionaries and installed it. And this time it worked. Thanks again for your help. -Vaibhav

Inserting page break

Thanks ..I went thru the lit and there was a command lyx -dbg graphics. It showed all that could be done on my system. It is able to give a preview of .png files. So guess I neede to install converters for other formats to work. Thanks all for their reponses. Sincerely, Vaibhav Angus Leeming
