C-Tab?

2005-09-29 Thread Scott Otterson
Should I be able to map control-tab to a lyx function? I've added this line to my .bind file: \bind "C-Tab" "depth-decrement" But on the Windows port of Lyx 1.3.6-1, nothing happens when I type C-Tab. Thanks, Scott

How to set latex path on windows?

2005-10-25 Thread Scott Otterson
Lyx 1.3.6 has worked well on my WinXP machine until today, when I loaded a copy of my resume and got the error message: 'Textclass error The document uses a missing Tex class "cv". Lyx will not be able to produce output.' I've got a couple of cv.* things installed: c:/ProgsNoSpace/lyx/Resou

Spelling crashes on 1.4.0

2006-03-08 Thread Scott Otterson
Hi, Lyx 1.4.0 looks like a great step forward but, unfortunately, it hangs when I click the spellchecker box. I'm on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES machine, and since I don't have root write permission, I built lyx myself. Everything works fine except the spellchecker -- including the thesaru

thesaurus in windows version

2006-04-05 Thread Scott Otterson
Should the thesaurus work in the Windows version of lyx 1.4? I've got it working in Linux but don't see it in the 1.4.1svn windows version I've installed using the new windows installer. Seems like it should be possible to do since there's a windows port of Aiksaurus. Anyway, thanks for 1.4!

bug in conversion of old lyx file to 1.5.3 (uwthesis template)

2008-01-30 Thread Scott Otterson
I'm trying to use lyx 1.5.3 to read a lyx file which was created with an older version of lyx (the University of Washington lyx thesis template: http://staff.washington.edu/fox/tex/uwthesis_lyx.zip). When I open the file, this triggers a lyx bug, either in lyx or within our install of lyx (er

cross referencing chapters as opposed to sections?

2008-02-20 Thread Scott Otterson
Is there a special procedure for cross referencing to chapters, as opposed to sections? In my thesis, I have no problem labeling sections, tables and figures with Insert->Label and then cross referencing them later in the text with Insert->Cross-Reference. However, when I label chapters and

search shortcuts don't work

2001-07-11 Thread Scott Otterson
The shortcuts for the search box's forward and backward search arrows are supposed to be M-f and M-b. But, in Lyx 1.1.6fix2, they move the cursor back and forth in the search text window, rather than activating forward or backward searching. If this is a bug, is this the proper place to report i

citation mode in 1.2?

2001-07-26 Thread Scott Otterson
Where can we look to see what the 1.2.0 citation mode will be like? I'd hate to see the lyxpipe interface go away, mainly because I have a hacked version of tkbibtex which allows me to add formatted notes for each article in my bibtex database -- makes searching for just the right paper much easi

Just for the record, I am also missing the math panel. I'm on RedHat 7.2 with the latest Ximian Gnome (if that's relevant) and I rebuilt lyx-1.2 and xforms-0.89-1 from the .src rpms. Scott > On Thu, 30 May 2002, Laszlo E. Szabo wrote: >Hi, > Try xforms-0.89-1.i386.rpm (from http://www.cs.wm.e

lyx 1.2.1 citation bug? (Was: lyx and bibtex, resulting dvi has no cite)

I started having this problem after I installed 1.2.1. I had a document with citations that worked in lyx 1.2.0 but when I upgraded to 1.2.1, loaded the document and made a dvi, all of the citations are displayed as [?] in the text. The funny thing is that, in the bibliograpy printed at the end
