I have a .cls and a .layout file. My friend has typed a thesis in the layout given by
the files. When i try to open the thesis it says unknow file.layout and open with a
lot of errors. I have stored the class file in /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/base/ and
the layout file in root/.lyx/templates.

Yes i have reconfigured lyx. Would it have something to do with latex which was
installed along with my redhat 7.1

put the *.layout files into ~/.lyx/layouts, not in the
template dir.

Can LaTeX or LyX handle more than one bibliographic
database file (*.bib). For example, I have classified
a bibliographics file based on major... i.e.
- statistics.bib
- geology.bib
- etc.
Is possible to insert 2 or more bibliographic database
in one LaTeX

just a question: what is the keyboard shortcut for Replace in the
Find/Replace? ``Replace All'' is Alt-A, but Alt-R doesn't work
for me as a shortcut for ``Replace''. Using 1.1.6fix4 with the
Czech locale and Czech xkb keyboard. However, even through
browsing through all applicable .bind file
