Hi,
I remember that in lyx1.6, I could select some text and convert it to
tex mode (I might be wrong). Now, the 'TeX' button only insert a new
tex box. Sometimes I do need to convert text to tex mode and I have to
1. cut text
2. insert a ERT box
3. paste
4. close the ERT
Is there
Thanks - I use those symbols in medical texts - had forgotten that
mathematicians used them as well - hence had not thought of math
mode.
Problem solved
Many Thanks to those that helped

Hi list,
I usually replace czech names in my text - like Dvorak - as follows:
1. export the file as LaTeX
2. replace the Name Dvorak with vim
3. Import the file back in LyX
As far as I know there is *not* the possibility to replace a word which
contains TeX-commands with the Search-and-Replace

Hi,
A collegue of mine, using 1.1.5-CJK, complains about the
small difference in color for regular text (black) and
TeX-mode text (dark red).
Can he change that color ?
I found in lyxrc lines like:
# To change the colors for footnotes:
#\set_color footnote green
# for mathed you may

Hi everybody,
I want to have the subscript in an equation to
be typeset with not just the math mode text but also
TeX mode text. Example ...
\( \psi _{1s\H }=\exp (-r) \)
(this is the equation generated by LyX, that I picked
from file.tex)
This equation displayed OK in LyX display
