when i looked at the tex file created in /tmp i found

In LyX 1.4 I used to be able to just use the filename with the
includepdf command in ERT, \includepdf{myfile}
In LyX 1.5.5 it seems that I need to put the full pathname and
filename, \includepdf{\very\long\path\myfile}
