You got hints for doing it in older versions,
in 1.2.0cvs you can simply copy the LaTeX to the LyX text wind

from Mathematica (or Maxima) and then edit the exported file by a simple
text editor such as Kwrite or Nedit, an

up a paper about it, is there some easy way i can paste that equation into
lyx so i don't have to retype it?
