Hi, I solved the problem by configuring lyx with extra libraries and includes, i.e. ./configure --prefix=/usr/local --with-extra-lib=/usr/local/lib --with-extra-inc=/usr/local/include --with-qt4-dir=/usr/local/Qt4 It seems that this problem occurs only for RH9. In my laptop which runs Fedora
