Undefined keyboard character problem

Hi, I'm using Lyx 1.3.4 on OSX 10.3.4 to typeset my thesis. I've hit a problem where references included from BibTex cause this error : Package inputenc Error: Keyboard character used is undefined ...nder, M~J. Aziz, E.~Mazur, and F.Y. G^^8e nin.

Hi, I recently installed Lyx 1.2.1 using the source-rpm available from ftp.lyx.org on a RedHat-8.0-System. Apparently, there is a problem concerning the german special characters. I can use them in the text and the dvi-output produces them correctly, but they are not displayed correctly in the me
