X file? Thou I tried with a new file and just one
line of text in a sigle frame, and the same error was produced.

1.2.3 is from Jan 8 2003. Not too ancient.
I'll try to upgrade my LyX, if possible. Hopefully

I have used the pdfscreen package with lyx in the past and having seen
some of the examples with beamer wondered if anyone has used this in the
past?
