I have tried the two first solutions:
- uses of falpha : it doesn't work (I've got fralpha and when i look
in the file fralpha.bst, all english words aren't translated).
- copy alpha.bst to falpha.bst and translate all the english words
to french -> it works.

I think you have to edit your *.bst files and change the and for the
french equivalnet

i think you must use the french version of your bst file, in fact for
most of them there is a frenc
