Was this an accidental repost? The same message was posted a few days
ago (http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.editors.lyx.general/64608) and drew
several responses, including my suggestion about the listings package.

Have a look at LyX's Math manual that you find in LyX's Help menu.

Turn on the math toolbars. You can then pick symbols from toolbar menus.
Learn the codes for those you use most often, that way you ca

Calligraphic F is not the right symbol, although it seems more and more
used now :-( (probably because people don't find the correct one, at
least that was my case in the past).

Usually a calligraphic F is used. In principle there is no rule for the symbol so you can define
what you want. A list of possible notations is given in
