Sorry to have been unclear, and come off like a megalomaniac in the
process. I didn't mean to imply that my way should be the default
for everyone. Rather, I thought it might be convenient to be able to
change the default settings for such things via Preferences.

I just tried the lyx-bindings script on
/usr/local/share/lyx/bind/cua.bind and it results in an empty file
(apart from the two first lines: "Bind file:
/usr/local/share/lyx/bind/cua.bind" and "KeyDescription")
Any idea of what can happening ? I checked the permissions, the
/usr/local/share/lyx
