Hi,
I have a strange problem. LaTeX complains about the Angstrom sign
whenever in a Hebrew paragraph.
This is the relevant .tex code:
\begin{document}
100 $\textrm{Å}$
\selectlanguage{hebrew}
\inputencoding{cp1255}
ùìåí \L{100$\textrm{Å}$}
\selectlanguage{english}
\end{document}

Attached are several solutions I found (all are ERT) for your problem.
I also got an error from your file, but a slightly different one.
You can probably put the \newcommand in the preamble, but I haven't
tried that.

Mine is lyx 1.2.1 with e-TeX Pi-2.
