Open in texteditor and do a search & replace there, but watch the encoding
otherwise there is the posibility that characters such as üöä are not
readable anymore (depending on system encoding)

It seems that in Lyx (1.4 or 1.5, any mac os X version), "Find and
Replace" only works in text but not in equations. Did I miss
something in this respect?
This is a serious drawback when you decide that some notation should
be changed throughout a document.
Does anyone know a trick?
