There are five main topics, each with several subtopics and, as part of an
employee training manual, I want the topics enumerated while the subtopics
are itemized.
This works fine for the first main topic. When I want to enumerate the
second main topic as '2' it displays as another '1'. Is there

Sigh. Yes, indenting the subtopics marks each with a lowercase letter. This
works.

How do I do in lyx, a negative indent on an enumerated list inside a Theorem?

I'm running into problems using the mdwlist package. I followed the example on
the wiki page. The example file works fine on my installation (LyX 1.6.0 on
Kubuntu 8.10), but when I try to replicate the behavior on my files, I cannot
get them to compile. All I do is:
1. add \usepackage{mdwlist}

Greetings everyone,
I was wondering if someone could tell me how to do the following: I
want to add some custom text to an enumerated list so that it comes
out looking something like:
Outcome 1. First item.
Outcome 2. Second item.
Outcome 3. Third item.
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
I would like to start a list with 3. like

4. bla bla \setcounter{enumi}{2}

Can anybody help me?

I'm making an enumerated list.
On the first item in the list I import an Encapsulated postscript

to be enumerated there's no problem, the enumeration cont

It is very easy, lLook at the documentation, about nesting.
Go to the table, and push the <- -> Buton on the toolbar.

That is, each item enumerated by small roman figures inside a pair of
