No it won't.
If your big EPS figures were created from bitmap images, then you can create
them again, but this time create Postscript level 2 files
(e.g. convert foo.gif ep
r latex will decompress the compressed-EPS if you export
the lyx document into postscript or pdf (with ps2pdf). That is (as I have
read in one of latex documentation (about graphicx.sty) in order to saving
the space when you save your document as latex or lyx.

when I compress my EPS figures according to
http://www.lyx.org/help/floats/eps.html and insert
them in LyX, the size of the global exported
postscript file is as big as if I did not compress
the EPS figures.
I thought that inserting compressed EPS figures would
reduce the final document
