Hello Martin,
These are the layout files I have. It does look like something may be remiss in what I currently
have working, based on comparisons to what you show.
Thankyou for you guidance.

This looks slightly different from what I have. It should look
"agums" "aguplus" "article (AGU++) manuscript" "false"

"agums" "article" "article (AGU ms)" "false"
"aguplus" "jgrga" "article (AGU)" "false"
"jgrga" "aguplus" "article (AGU++) JGR" "true"
Since the last shows up in my list of document classes but the first two are listed as unavailable

Looks like texhash did its job. ls-R contains:
./tex/latex/base:
agu10.sty
agu11.sty
agu2001.cls
agu2001.sty
agu.bst
agufull.bst
agums.sty
aguplus.cls
texhash was run with out options.
Thanks again

This is what I found from Edit->Reconfigure that seemed vaguely relevant:
+checking for document class agums [article, /home/tgarrett/LyX/STYFILES/agums.
+checking for document class aguplus [jgrga, /home/tgarrett/LyX/STYFILES/aguplu
-obviously my files (not my truncation)

Hello,
I have been successfully using the AGU plus and AGU ms classes with a little (a lot) of much
appreciated assistance from Martin Vermeer and Angus Leeming. However, it has required some trickery
that includes exporting the lyx document as latex, and running a shell script on the latex docu
