Just compiled lyx on Solaris 10 with QT 4.4.1, I get this (C locale)
QIconvCodec::convertToUnicode: using ASCII for conversion, iconv_open failed
At the first call, I got le lot of
X Error: BadAtom (invalid Atom parameter) 5
