Ugh, an update to Arch's LyX package was just pushed that fixes this
bug. Apologies for the noise. However, I'm happy to troubleshoot the
mailing list problems if necessary.
Cheers.

Hmm… still doesn't work. Nothing happens when I click the book icon. I had
already tried with another user account, so I guess it's unsurprising that this
didn't work. Is there anything else I could try?

Apologies if this has already been answered, but searching for "outline" in the

Ah okay. For some reason the bug didn't come up when I searched for it.
Actually, I should've actually tried searching for something with
Spotlight. It does seem to work, it's just that it fills my log up
with error messages.

Pete.

If I just Accept that deletion with the change tracking, everything

Geoff,
I have used the listings and the lstlistings packages for just this. You
can include the script as an external file and have LaTeX format it nicely,
with borders etc.
See the http://www.lyx.org/help/listings/listings.php3 page for examples.

Well done to all for their excellent work.
Pete
e EPS pathname, it has reverted
back to a relative pathname!
I suspect this is the problem at the core of my dilemma!
I am using lyx 1.1.6fix3 - would this behaviour have changed in fix4 ?
Pete
graphic itself is *actually appearing* in the lyx buffer!
Something strange appears to be going on here.
Has anyone any more ideas ?
Waiting in anticipation,

the path.
yes - it is a conforming EPS file with bounding box.
I can see that there is a path problem, but why is lyx changing the
path ?
Pete
cess, something is mangling
the path to a relative instead of absolute pathname. Should it do
this, or is it a bug ?
Pete
You can add it to your footer in the preamble as follows:
\lfoot{Revision: \RCSRevision}
\rfoot{\RCSDate}

PS: Don't forget to check your document in so that you get some

Thanks to Dekel for the fix. It works fine now, although I do agree
with others on the list that I think you should have to actively
select something for babel support to be included, instead of having
to opt out of it in a preferences file.

questions:
1 - why is the babel stuff interfering with the latex processing ? Is
there anything I can do about it ?
2 - If there is a fundamental incompatibility with the babel package,
what can I do to stop lyx using the babel functionality ?

Now it must be OK under latex, because when I run lyx 1.1.5, it all
works perfectly. Has something changed between 1.1.5 and 1.1.6 ?
